A still life I started as I lived in in Italy, a few years ago, and recently finished it in my studio. My Italian neighbour gave me these fresh figs, with a little drop of honey coming out of it : a perfect sign they had to be eaten!
I was inspired by the varous fresh colors of the figs against the greyish color of the plate ;that is why  it needed the full-colored background.
